For me the motivation is to try my VoiceWorks Plus with midi driving the vocal correction and\or vocal harmony. I can do that in RB but I prefer BiaB for accompaniment so I'd really like it to work. Using the SD2 is less important to me but the piano voices are nice so that might be an option for a limited number of songs.

Anyway, the VST system offers a great way to expand BiaBs functionality without PGM having to recode anything.

I think VSTs might even allow us to play instruments through VST based FX. A VST that streams audio from an input to the FX slots should allow that. The only thing is I don't know how hard it'll be to stream the audio. That's a future project if PGM don't take this approach first.
