Hi,
One way to fix this is to right-click on the Band-in-a-Box application (bbw.exe) | Properties | Compatibility - check 'run as administrator'. SampleTank will then inherit the elevated privilege level. (With UAC enabled on your computer, even if you are logged on an administrator account, applications only have standard privileges unless approved via a UAC prompt).
Note that while SampleTank does require administrator privileges for some things, playing Hi-Q instruments isn't one of them - that works regardless of whether the application is running with elevated privileges.
