I have a 7 track Biab sgu on the Go.
The first two times I played it back one instrument in particular played an awesome phrase in the Intro.
I had to change a couple of chords and re-gens since have not put this phrase where i need it. In one run through it was in the Coda! BooHoo
Is there a "trick" in getting it re-gen a certain BIT of that instruments repertoire on demand. or is a Groundhog Day job?

In BIAB, you would have to keep regenerating and hope the same phrase reappears, then freeze the track.
In RealBand, it is possible to regenerate just part of a RealTrack. You can keep everything you like and just replace those parts you don't until it all is good.

Hi Ian,
To add to what Matt has already said, it's also possible in Realband to cut (or copy) the phrase you want from wherever it occurs and then paste it exactly where you want it played. For example, using RB (or any DAW for that matter), you could remove the phrase from the coda and put it in the introduction.

Hi Ian, I often want to use different parts........ (mainly Acc Bass)...... RealTracks which I Drag'n'Drop into Sonar, then tweak them to suit. I use a lot of /slash Bass notes for runs that I want to create. And if a Bass Realtrack has something that appeals to me,I'll do what I have just described. Because I'm doing mainly Trad/Dixieland numbers, I can use favourite runs in certain keys,,,,,,anywhere I want in a track! I even have a song where there I use 3 different Acc Bass players! I have a nice little library of Bass runs etc!!  Regards, Joe G.

Two things I use in RB are. 1 I open the BiaB file in RB and highlight the phrase and regen till it is what I want, or highlight it and use multiriff. This feature give a list of choices. If you change the highlighted area slightly you get completely different results.
HP Win 11 12 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2025, Realband, Reaper 7, Harrison Mixbus 9 32c , Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app.

Well thanks to all for the info, guys.
Rob -thats a neat trick. I'll try it next time.
Meanwhile back at the Ranch - it was Matts trick of just re-genning the highlighted bit in RB that won. Havent used RB much - its a bit scarey compared to Biab so am going nice and easy - "One Day At A Time".
BUT - I got the very phrase I needed fourth re-gen round. Ace!
