Well today I had my first basic lesson on the lap steel. My good buddy, who is a pedal player primarily, looked over the Rogue and said it was a great buy for the money. He said he liked it better than an old lap steel he had at home. After he went over a few things with me it is actually starting to sound like a steel guitar. When he plays it it sounds great, when I play it, well lets just say I think the chicken died, and now im working on killing the cow.

Thank God for my BIAB. What a fabulous tool for practicing. Pick a country classic, slow down the tempo, change the key, and follow the chord sheet. Actually forces me to try different tunes and chord progressions that I would not do on my own, at least for some good while yet.

anyone thinkng about a lap steel, this is a great little tool to play with without risking a lot of dough.
