Using VST/DX Synths/Plugins window I can put a VSTi synth in the first slot on the Thru channel and it responds correctly to a MIDI stream from an external controller. What I really want to do, however, is to process that MIDI stream before it hits the VSTi synth (to map one CC to another) to make better use of the capabilities of the synth. I have a VSTi plugin that will do the job, but I can't persuade BIAB to allow me to put the MIDI processing plugin in the first slot (it seems to only want a synth in that slot?) and the VSTi synth in the second slot.

Perhaps someone who has done this sort of thing before could suggest an approach that could work?

I have looked at putting MIDIOX in the MIDI path between the MIDI hardware input and BIAB, but that (as far as I can determine) needs MIDI Yoke to make the connection and that will not install on my Windows 7 64 bit system.

Is there some way I can achieve the effect I want?

Thanks,
John
