What I usually do when I need to locate a particular post is to use the "Search Forums" link shown below.



On the screen that pops up, simply select the forum to search (1), enter text and select search criteria (if needed) (2), enter the user's name (if needed) (3), and select a range of searchable dates (4). This search function works very well. (If you leave #2 blank and just add a user's name in #3, posts for that user will be found.)



Alternatively ...

... if I'm trying to find posts from a particular poster, I sometimes left-click on the word "Poster" that heads the column of names of those who started a thread.



This sorts names into alphabetical order. One click and the names are sorted Z to A; two clicks and the names are sorted A to Z.



I then simply navigate to the appropriate page using the page numbers located at the bottom of the forum.



IMPORTANT
If you've used the "sort column alphabetically" method, it's necessary to click on the "Last Post" column header to reset the forum into listing the posts by date.
