A good ccourse Noel. I'm watching videos as well and doing the quizes, havent listened to any of the songs required for the course or done the assignments but picking up a good few ideas. Just dont have the time.

I'm enjoying the introduction to music production course as well, getting to know a bit of the tech musical jargon as well as picking up some tips.

I found myself wondering though as I listened to Pats lectures and talked about other songwriters did they just have a natural ability to write a song or did they apply some of Pats techniques sub consciously without realising what they were doing?

Although Pat is a great gifted lecturer poet and gentleman he would probalby be having hits right left and centre if that was all what is needed, just makes me wonder what degree luck is involved in writing a hit song, probably being in the right place with the right band and the right song at the right time, and other variables as well.

Probably far more great songs that never seen the light of day about that missed all the above things.

Probably the best way to go about it is just to have fun as Peter Gannon says.
