>>> How is it possible to have more measures listed in the Pattern Definition location than exist in the wave file - or to put it another way, how is it possible to have higher location numbers than there are number of measures in the .wav file?
There would be no point in doing that, as it would be an error to point past the end of the file. That type of error used to happen (someone mistyping a bar #), and it used to crash the program. But we fixed that long ago, and I think it just ignores it now (at worst would be silence).
