Thanks to both Peter and Rachael for addressing my conundrum.
I will take Peters comment at face value and not be concerned that the JazzBrushes Sticks text file has Locations up to 66 while the .wav file has only 56 measures (including 2 measure count-in).

As to the answer to my question "How is it possible for the text file to have more than one Normal pattern listed at the same location in the
wave file?" - I think that I have figured it out:
There can be more than one pattern per location because each of the multiple patterns at one location will always have a different number of measures!! Yahhhh - I should win some sort of BIAB trivia prize, shouldn't I?

Anyway, thanks for your help.
I have been using BIAB for a long time (though I am not a power-user by any means) and it is a totally cool program, unequalled by any other - and Real Drums (and the abiltiy to tweak them by changing the text files) is the coolest thing since power steering. As far as I know there is no other program out there that allows you to slice and dice and pick and choose audio files like BIAB/Real Drums. OK - PowerTracks works great, too.
Thanks, Peter!
