I only use Firefox and never had a problem with any YT video. Considering they're all the same format (flv) the only reason I can think of for your problem is some are in high def and others are not. The larger high def ones can lock up while your internet connection is streaming it so it may simply be your connect speed and possibly the speed of your laptop as well. My desktop specs are listed in my sig and it's pretty fast and so is my connect speed. I don't think it's anything to do with plugins. The only YT plugin I have is one that Mozilla offers that allows me to download the videos. I've found lots of very good vids that I want to keep so my DL folder is over 25 gigs now. I discovered by accident that several favorite videos I had bookmarked have been taken down due to copyright issues so now if I see something I like I download it immediately.

Even with my fast setup there are some vids that seem to stream slowly and continually lock up so those I download first and do something else then I can watch them later using any good video player. I use either VLC or Media Player Classic.
