No I'm not using the actual Steinberg multiclient ASIO wrapper, I'm using one from MOTU. ("Mark of the Unicorn" 828 Mark 3 audio interface). I'm thinking that its just a rebundled version of the Steinberg wrapper...then again maybe MOTU has a whole different approach...not really sure about how the licensing with Steinberg works.

Nevertheless, all that I see in BIAB, RB and Sonar is the MOTU ASIO driver. While MOTU says that multiclient capabilities of their driver is "an unsupported function", many users on various forums have confirmed that they can use multiple apps with the same audio interface. It works fine for me.

Additionally, I understand that some ECHO, RME and NI drivers are also multiclient as well as some others. It seems that today multiclient support is more of a manufacturer's decision regarding development of their drivers more so than a technological capability.

It might be of some help to you to take a look at the following link: http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109826&page=2 . Take a look at the bottom where LOTUZ posts some pictures of his setup in Cubase...might be a clue there.

I do know of others who use MidiOX to accomplish this: http://www.midiox.com/ . However, I am unsure if it works with Win 7.

By the way, you never mentioned what type of audio card or audio interface you are using. Also what version of Windows are you running.
