Right, I see. In your example though, the key signature of the song shown on the main screen should be C, shouldn't it, since that is the concert key.
In any case, the only way to do what you want, would be, if you are only using MIDI, to use the MIDI concert pitch adjust in the MIDI | MIDI Settings dialog. You would set the concert key signature to C, write your song in D, then set the concert pitch adjust to -2. (I think)
