For me, the most important future development for MIDI is the developement of simple new user inferfaces - intuitive interfaces.

Especially for the emulation of acoustic instruments, we need to emulate they way these things are struck, plucked, scraped, bent and so forth. Most keyboard cotnollers cant do this
