I agree that the apps seem to be leading the way in music production where the 3 or 4 large companies wait to see how they are received before spending their time and money on improvements in their equipment interfaces.

I would be curious to know how much it takes to develop some of these (in my opinion) amazing apps that you can pick up for $5 or less.

Maybe someone will come out with a "coordination music app" to take all these bits and pieces and have them work together as a total music program.

As amazing as midi is or could be, I think the future is the direction BIAB/RB has taken with the Realtracks and Real MIDI tracks played by real musicians and then micro modified in a way midi is now.

Did enjoy the ideas of new unorthodox control surfaces/instruments but agree that a person has to be willing to take the time to learn a whole new way of playing and frankly, think the market is pretty small for that.
