The Mac version does not allow you to insert virtual instruments into BIAB for MIDI tracks. Neither does it allow you to use Amplitube directly in BIAB for audio effects. Those two are off the top of my head. If you are using mostly RealTracks and RealDrums to generate backing tracks, then I think the two version are pretty much even. That is what I do and after moving from Windows to Mac a few years ago I am very happy with the Mac 2013 version.
