I want to post several BIAB tunes on YouTube with videos of trains (for example) but I don't want to infringe on copyrights. I specifically need 3-4 minutes continuous (I don't like looping the same few seconds) steam locomotive footage.

Don, This link is for Government based public domain video's. http://archive.org/details/FedFlixI wanted River video's to use with some of my music. Also found train/s from so many years ago. Marked it, and cannot find where they are in my thousands of marks. Search about on the site. Don't think this will violate this forum's rules. Search a bit, and you will find... Good Luck!

Don,
If it helps, anything filmed by the US Government is automatically in the public domain. That only applies to the US Gov., though.
When I find something I like on Youtube, I email the person and ask if I can use some of the clip and then give the time range(s) of the section(s). Sometimes people say "no" but most people don't seem to mind. You might also set up the video as private and send them the URL so that they can see it and either approve or disapprove it before you make it public.
