Bonjour,
Quand vous venez sur ce forum, venez armé : l'endroit est désert !...
Bon, allez, j'ai le moral, je pose ma question sur les VSTi :
Je possède Garitan Personal Orchestra, le VST est Kontact player. Je voudrais l'utiliser avec BB. Dans le mixeur, pour une piste midi, onglet Plugins, je clique sur la 1ère zone, la fenêtre de gestion des plugins s'ouvre ; sur la 1ère ligne, dans la combo, je vois bien mon VST Kontact player et je le choisis ; ça ouvre sa fenêtre d'édition en-dessous.
Je choisis un instrument, je quitte la fenêtre, mais ma piste midi continue à jouer le son midi d'avant.
Qu'est-ce que j'oublie ?
Je n'ai rien trouvé dans l'aide qui me dépanne.
Merci d'avance.
PS : même manip avec Realband, même résultat...

Sur combo, je n'arrive même pas a "add vst plugin". Je clique sur add vst pluing & ça ouvre mon dossier de vst's puis je clique sur kontakt (pas kontakt player car j'ai le full version) puis ça ne le rajoute pas. Sur une autre piste (strings/Guitar etc) pas de prob. C'est bizarre mais apparement il y a des chose qui ne tourne pas rond dans le "combo". Desolé je pouvez pas t'aider

Oui, ben je suis content quand même de n'être pas le seul à tenter ça ; je suis toujours à moitié consolé quand d'autres ont les mêmes emmerdes que moi !

en faite, je n'ai jamais essayé ça jusqu'a tu as demandé. J'utilise vsti's un par piste & normalement je fais ça en dehors de BIAB & dans un DAW. Je crois que tu as trouvé un bug quand même.

Le support PG m'a peut-être fourni l'explication (et en français !) :
Lorsqu'on utilise Kontakt, pour chaque instrument de BB il y a un n° de canal midi précis à utiliser :
bass 2
Piano 3
Batterie 10
guitare 6
cordes 7
mélodie 4
soliste 8
J'essaye ça dans les jours qui viennent et je reviens dire ici ce qu'il en est, puisque je vois que mon message a quasiment provoqué une émeute... :[

comme je t'avais dit, je n'arrive même pas a rajouter kontakt sur le piste combo! Sur les pistes indivduelles pas de probs & oui, c'est bien ces canaux midi utilisé par BIAB.

les assignations des canaux midi sont souvent problématiques, synonimes de prise de tête et perte de temps!
La réponse de PG music va dans le sens d'une "normalisation" de ces assignations dans la norme GM (général midi).
Ci dessous un extrait d'un excellent tuto paru sur le forum d'audiokeys :
"La norme GM ne définit pas où doivent aller les instruments particuliers. Vous pouvez donc mettre une basse sur la piste 1, un piano sur la piste 7 et une guitare en piste 16. Néanmoins, l'évolution des fichiers vendus par les sociétés spécialisées fait que l'on est parvenu à une sorte d'entente sur les pistes à utiliser.
piste 1 = paroles, pour l'affichage des textes en mode karaoke
piste 2 = basse
piste 3 = piano (ou instrument principal)
piste 4 = chant - principal
piste 5 = chant - accompagnement
piste 10 = batterie (normal puisque définie requis par la norme GM)
piste 16 = métadonnées, par exemple pour contrôler un harmoniseur tel Digitech Vocalist.
Il faut savoir que les synthétiseurs sont conçus pour donner un ordre de priorité aux pistes MIDI dans le cas où la polyphonie n'est pas suffisante, ou si les donéées MIDI sont tellement nombreuses qu'il risque d'y avoir un délai entre la réception des messages et la réaction du générateur de son. Cela signifie qu'il vaut mieux mettre les parties importantes dans les pistes 1, 2, 3... plutôt que 12, 13, 14... et garder ces dernières pour les effets (dont on reparlera) et les instruments secondaires.
Parfois, le choix de présentation du fichier MIDI fait que la partie chant se trouve en piste 16. C'est un choix particulier correspondant à un usage sur scène où l'artiste charge un fichier et coupe la piste 16. La manipulation est ici plus rapide que de couper la piste 4."

Puisque tu viens de recevoir ton BB, et même si les VSTi ne fonctionnent pas tout de suite, je te souhaite autant de plaisir avec BB que j'en ai moi-même. Si tu as acheté des Realtracks, c'est un vrai bonheur !

Bon ben puisque je vois que ça vous passionne, je viens confirmer qu'en respectant les canaux ci-dessus, ça fonctionne parfaitement. Et j'en suis très heureux, parce que les sons du Garritan Personal Orchestra, c'est tout simplement fabuleux !

Bien content pour toi que ça marche.
Je profite de ce post : j'ai constaté sur différents forums que Garrittan (orchestra et jazz) avait l'air d'être apprécié par les utilisateurs de Band in a box. Y a-t-il une raison particulière , outre le fait de rechercher des sons de meilleurs qualité en midi?

A ma connaissance non. D'ailleurs j'avais acheté GPO il y a longtemps pour l'utiliser avec un autre logiciel. Ce que d'ailleurs je n'ai jamais pu mettre en route. Ce qui me fait surtout plaisir, c'est de voir que Realband va me permettre de mettre le nez dans le monde des VSTi.
Dommage qu'il soit tellement bogué...

Si vous voulez vraiment des sons de qualité qui batten facilement les sonorités Garritan, procurez-vous le petit module de sons SD2 de KETRON. Là on parle de belles sonorités et en plus, ça na monopolise pas le RAM de l'ordi.

Tout à fait d'accord. Le SD2 excelle dans les sons acoustiques.
Sinon, en logiciel, Forte Dxi est pas mal non plus.

J'ai déjà le SD2 et je suis d'accord, il propose déjà des sons intéressants. Supérieurs à Garritan ? Bah, pas toujours, ça doit dépendre des oreilles...
Je citais Garritan parce que je l'ai déjà, mais pas question de m'y arrêter : c'est à l'ensemble des VSTi que je veux m'intéresser, c'est tellement vaste, ça ouvre un tel monde de possibilités...

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums.
