Thought I'd give this another shot before I call Tech support.

The long, rambling full story is in my last post found here:

..but suffice to say that I cannot hear ANY "RealTracks" at all now! This seems to have happened after my computer got a virus which messed with my media stuff. Here is what I previously wrote (with a bit of editing) explaining most of the problem I'm experience with BIAB now:

Quote:

Prior to the virus, all I used to do, to make changes to a selected musical style, was to RIGHT-CLICK on an instrument (the ones at the top) and select "ADD/REMOVE REALTRACKS" and the change would result immediately after clicking on the play button. (But, coincidentally, another problem I have, since the virus, is that I can no longer see a single program that I have installed on my computer in the "ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS" box that you get into after clicking on "My Computer" in Windows. I actually had to install an uninstaller program in order to see them and, also, to be able to uninstall some.)

Anyhow, last night I was playing with BIAB and noticed that, after I selected a particular "STYLE" of music, I was able to RIGHT CLICK on the "Drums" and change the drum style. I have to add that sometimes I now get a message saying "Beat Map Stretcher was unable to load in the WAV file" (What does THAT mean???) but I've found that absolutely NO "RealTracks" seem to get added! Indeed, not a single change occurs for any of the "Bass, Drums, Guitar, Strings, Melody, Soloist" instrument options after trying to add a "RealTrack" to ANY of the instruments selected. And, I'm doing precisely what I used to. Right-Clicking and selecting. So this is more serious than just not hearing the guitar solo as I initially thought. Also, now, when I choose a different music style, sometimes all I can hear are the DRUMS in it but NO OTHER INSTRUMENTS! (Are the missing instruments all "RealTracks"?) That is particularly annoying and it happens more than I care to count. Obviously, the "RealDrums" are working but not any of the "RealTracks!

Also, for the heck of it, I did go and check "Reset to factory setting" but didn't notice any change.

I thinking of reinstalling XP but, for the most part, the computer works well except for a few glitches so I'd like to avoid doing that for awhile.

I have BIAB 2013 UltraPak installed.

Hope this makes some kind of sense.
