That's right, Biab does not allow for real time playing but you can however use it in the opposite way. You can use the Chord Export function in Biab to play the styles on the Tyros. This is very slick because you don't have to worry about hitting the exact chords at the exact time while you're playing your Tyros. I don't know the exact details but there's a post about that in the Tips & Tricks forum.

I've used arrangers for years, right now I have the Korg Pa1xPro. It's pretty good but nowhere as good as your Tyros 4. I'm drooling man, that's a nice axe. The thing about arrangers is they only respond to what you are playing, they have no idea what's coming next. All an arranger does is trigger small midi files usually 1-4 bars.

There's good reasons for Biab not allowing real time playing. Since you have to load in all the chords first, it knows what's coming next and can plan the arrangement accordingly plus the styles are not static like those midi snippets in an arranger. Biab styles have weightings and will do slightly different things depending on what is happening in the song at certain points in time because all that is laid out before you hit play. In many ways that's much better than any arranger but it also takes more work on your part.

You can export some short midi clips of style parts from your Tyros and use them to create Biab styles too. Read up on the Stylemaker.
