Is this the next big thing or is this really not possible? Anyone tried it out?

I find some chatter over in KVR forum - maybe this is real?

I have the beta version, and although there is still a long way to go it looks promising. I had problems with it on my new laptop but it looks more like usb3 issues with my soundcard. On the XP laptop with usb2 things were definitely more fun even using the same soundcard. I have been playing soundfonts using the sfz player with some audible latency but as I said, it looks promising.

just to let you know, I have tried & tested this extensively for 3 days (including a gig) & it is indeed all it promises.

The future is here today (I am nothing to do with the company).

I've played guitar into a DAW & used flute, violin, guitars, bass, accordion & it works like a charm. Whats more, I've tried it on a real tracks & put a different instrument alongside the original & it absolutely brilliant.

I hasten to add I used a focusrite scarlett soundcard with 128 samples latency (so inaudible)

Yes, it is the real thing indeed. I have had a gas with it. The free demo download is more then enough to really get to konw its capabilites.

By the way, There's a new update for MIDI Guitar. Here's the changelog:

V0.7.2 whats New:
* Reimplemented plugin scanning to be less error prone.
* Added Add File button to plugin browser to be able to add single plugin.
* Added Clear button to plugin browser to clear the list of plugins.
* Fixed a bug in tuner that made it show too sharp
