Hi Guy's

Well I just love this song,it flows well with a nice
story line and the harmonies are great.
It deserves to be a hit.

If you would like me to put a lead over the song just let me know,
I don't want to muscle in uninvited.
Sounds like my Telecaster will be out for this one.

If a re-mix or re-recording is on the cards,perhaps it would be best
for me to wait until you decide?

Anyway,let me know either way.

Thanks

Alan

Hi alan;
I think a re-recording, with a little song structure and music structure change is in order. You are definitely not uninvited, I think Don might have PM's you. I have to go to work. I will pm or e-mail to talk later this afternoon.

Thank you;
Gene

Hey Gene, sent you a PM.

Sounds like you may have a "Collaboration" underway.
Whatever I can do, ask. I'd be honored if you want to use any or part of the lyrics -
bend them, shape them anyway you want them (sounds like a song lyric, eh? Hmmmm )

Ian

gene, the vox on 'the dance' is my eldest son gordon. if you need a singer i can ask him. he would sound good on your song. since you used biab for the drums it should be easy to open it up, stretch it, and make room for alan's lead guitar part.however, a total re-recording would be even better.

Hi everyone;
Just got home from work. I have tomorrow off, so I will be up late tonite, on the puter.
Alan;
I really think some tasty telly would breathe some new life into the song. At the time, we were just strumming, and making a "demo". Just always an idea of how the song could go. But now with all the digital editing capabilities available at home, it opens up possibilities to achieve good results. Also, everyone can attach a wav or bb file to an e-mail, and someone half a world away can open it, edit, add, and send it back! Way cool. I always used to create music with local musicians. Now, I am totally amazed that I can receive help from anywhere in the world. I will see how far I can get tonite with finding a similar realtrack style. I will try to PM you tonite with song structure ideas. Right now it is 8:00 p.m. here.

Ian;
Thank you so much for the idea with the lyrics. It would kind of resolve everything. "He has a dream, instead follows the corporate golden ring, rises to the top of his game, the system fails, reality check, falls back to his dream, fulfills it." Plus, it kind of follows what is really happening now with all this stuff. It will lengthen the song, and resolve it better than it was. You are a good song writer. And fast! LOL. Will talk to you later. You remind me alot of Jim Croche (sp) when I see your picture.

Don;
Gordon sounds very good on that cut. I think I will do a total re-make, so the sound will be better. May take a week or so. But I will start tonight. This forum is like one big family of musical talent. Yes, Gordon would put a great sound to it. Thanks so much for everything, I better get to work. I will be "on" for a few hours.
Gene
