this issue actually begins with the fact that i need a Mac com
patible soft synth with an authentic sounding grand piano and strings. Would like something better than GS wavetable or any of the generic stuff that comes with most of the computers. question 1- does anyone know of one ? if the answer is "no" then i'll continue with the rest of the prob. i've only had the Mac for a few months and am still struggling with it - i probably don't even qualify as a
newbie.
i've noticed that GB (garrage band) has some pretty decent sounding
virtual instruments. Reaper is my DAW mainstay and what i'd like to do is record an audio file (piano) and then export it to Reaper (or
conversely, with Reaper open import the file from GB but this raises
another issue - i'm not familiar enough with the Mac to know the file
heirarchy as to where it sticks an audio file once it's created. any help app here. is there a way to import a BIAB file into GB
(i don't believe it supports drag & drop)
