Hi all,

I've been using a program for years that I've found outstanding, and I continue to use it - because it does the job and I like it.

I can't say it's the best at doing it's job given its age and newly available tools, and I'm fairly certain there's a BB tool that does at least some of what this does.

Amazing Slow Downer allows one to read in an mp3 file (or other), and to slow it down as much or as little as one wants. Aside from (what I consider to be ) a convenient and simple interface, the audio quality is great, and it has the following especially useful features:

1.) You can add up to 10 named audio bookmarks that set both the location in the song along with the desired speed and pitch changes. You can also export and import these settings - for when you use multiple computers.

2.) It reads the mp3 file as is from it's currently stored directory and is ready to go - no pre-processing or other preparation required

3.) It can save and load song-lists to reduce the amount of clicks you need to practice multiple songs using its' features.

In my opinion, it's a must-have for those without a perfect ear looking to hear melodies and rhythms at slower tempos.

For those of you that use it - share your opinion and whether you have found anything comparable or better.

Also share other 'most valuable' learning tools.

I've considered buying Guitar Pro 6, but can't figure out if it's redundant to what I already get with BB/RB. Would love your opinions on that.
