The SD4 can be used with a standard programmable MIDI footswitch. You are responsible for reading and understanding the owner's manuals for both devices and programming the footswitch to suit the commands, such as Patch Changes. Not rocket science, and you can just set the footswitch up to send the standard GM MIDI changes alone and get quite a lot of sounds, or you can delve into programming the pedal to select sounds from the SD4's Upper Banks as well. The same can be done with the little SD2 as well. Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
