Is it possible to select what real tracks will play a push and not just have them all play it ??
I want the drums to keep playing straight and have the others play the push.

Hi Frogman, I seem to recall that I recently had my thinking adjusted on this one and that pushes are a global event. That being said, if you have one of the later versions of BIAB, it's possible to use the "Freeze" function to achieve what you want. - Generate the song with the pushes added.
- Freeze the tracks that you want to keep pushes in.
- Remove the pushes from the chords on the chord sheet.
- Regenerate the song. (The frozen tracks will still contain their pushes and the newly generated tracks will be devoid of them.)
One thing to keep in mind if you use the above approach is that if you change chords or add/remove bars in the song, you'll need to unfreeze any frozen tracks for such changes to take effect. You'd then need to reset the pushes as above. Regards, Noel

Yes, I use the workaround Noel described. I recall this also came up in a Wishlist thread a few months back, I think.

And yet another way... 2013
Create a wav file of just the drums without the pushes.
Create another song, chords don't matter for drums, mute everything except the drums. (Solo the drums track). Put in the same numbers of measure but just don't add the pushes.
Render this drum only song to a wave file.
Put the wav file in the same folder as the .MGU and name it the same as the song but add "drums" onto the end.
If the song name is
Yet Another.mgu
Name the drum only wave file as
Yet Another Drums.wav
The "Drums" indicator will change from Green to Orange.
When you play, Band in a box will play this wav for the drum track.
It actually tracks tempo changes in BIAB
Very handy feature!
This works for other tracks. "Piano", "Bass" etc.
It also works if you create a general wav for all the tracks.
For example Render a few tracks to:
Yet Another.wav
And you'll be able to stack in more tracks.

You should put this in Tips and Tricks. Good stuff. Reminds me a little of bouncing tracks to tape back and forth.
