Every time I have attempted to COPY the midi tracks to my DAW (Sonar) it works but I end up with a large number of extra and empty midi tracks..... I simply delete them.

I don't drag and drop ...I copy and paste when I need to use midi tracks which BTW is not very often. I prefer using wave file tracks.
