I have just ordered a kareoke CD. My reason is to get the drum tracks, is it possible to load a kareoke CD onto Power Tracks and then remove all the tracks except the drums?

No the music is mixed. Some get limited results in removing vocals but not really. If you want a particular song google karaoke midi files and start from there. I have over 200 so far and growing. Also you cound import the kar song and allow the auto chord wiz to do it's thing, then build a Real Drum track to fit.

The reason was all about the drums, I have not had much success with creating drums and the songs I wanted were not on Real Drums so that was why I went this way, I found the songs I wanted to do and purchased the CD .Oh well, back to the drawing board.

What songs are they, they might be available as a .kar midi, then you can strip out the other tracks and leave the drums, i do that sometimes and run it thru Jamstix for a very nice sounding drum track. Here is a tune i did with an old kar file for drums, bass and keys. a little rough around the edges, but you get the picture. http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=1118651&t=5710

Robh,
That's what I am after, real sounds of drums, two of the songs are "Stand By Me" and "Midnight Hour" plus a slower swing instrumental of "Dream". I plead being "thick" but what is a .kar midi?

a .kar file is a midi file with lyrics embedded PT will scroll the lyrics along with the chords for you. Go here http://www.karaokebash.com/ Look under Ben E. King in the artist section, and Wilson Picket. I found both. By dream if you mean Everly Bros, it is there as well. I take these and use better VSTs and such and make them sound pretty good, even some RTs and RDs help at times.
