If you 'copied it to another track', it should line up already, if done correctly. Most likely mistake is you didn't watch to make sure the 'From' in Copy command matched the paste location in the Paste window.

To fix;
On the original track, pick a point in the song where the second track will be playing. Maybe the first note of a new verse. Open the Audio Edit window and put the cursor where that wave peaks for that point. Write down the time in the Now window. Say 43-1-3 for this example.

Import the second track. Listen to it and stop it at that same point. Use Audio Edit window and set cursor to same peak. Write down the Now time again. Say 43-3-6

Drag Track 2 backward/forward to make the Now times (peaks) line up. Use Audio Edit window to fine tune.
Adjust as needed.
