There's a quick and easy fix. Right-click on the bar in question, click BAR SETTINGS, go to the drop-down menu for guitar (or whichever instrument you wish to make quieter).
Select CHANGE BY and enter a negative value (about -20 should do it). Then, in the next bar, set the selected instrument BACK TO NORMAL.
You'll need to experiment a bit with the negative value you choose.
