I was in a Wal-Mart the other day and saw an unadvertised (I went home and checked) Acer lappie with 3 Gb RAM, 160 Gb HD, DVD writer, Vista Home something-or-other, for $350. I do NOT know the model number, I didn't have anything to write with. It stood out because Micro Center, a regional retailer with a store 2-1/2 miles from me, has a similar Acer with only 2 Gb RAM for the same money. There were four or five other Acers at Wally World with increasing specs, all under $500.

So why buy used?

P.S.: Jah-man, note that I'm in Georgia, too--any price I see should be good in your area, too!
