Thanks for your kind words guys/girls (?) The hardest part of writing the lyrics was deciding what tone to portray, and deciding what I wanted the main point of telling the story to be. On my first attempt, "Soldiers Came", I portrayed more the anger at the insurgents. But DCuny told me it was pointed the wrong way. Soldiers Came I thought long and hard about his comments and he was right. Better to express good than bad. Plain and simple. (I still managed to express her anger though, I think) She's a peach and I've written some other songs about her, in various stages of completion: Mainly I need to make actual videos, and learn how to mix.
