I'm one of those who uses a notation program, but that's primarily because I learned the notation program before BIAB, and I've used BIAB for over twenty years!

Just so you have all the options, there is a free music notation program called MuseScore. It has the unique ability to read BIAB files and transfer the chord information as well as the MIDI notes. Try it and see if this is something you might like.
