Matt's figured this out. Right click and open the real tracks window and at the top, uncheck the real tracks instrument. Then close the real tracks window, and look to see if the instrument icon in BIAB has changed color from green (Real Track) to yellow (Midi). Or, just right click and erase real track. Check to see that the color changes and your default midi instrument for the style should return. Sometimes the real track instrument pattern just doesn't fit the style instrument riff pattern you may be looking for, and the midi pattern may fit better.
