Variations on your question have been asked often. I don't mean to speak for Matt but his suggestion of "unfolding" the song into one long chorus suggests that it ain't easy to do otherwise...if possible at all...and then get the chart to PRINT the way you want.

In a recent thread, it was suggested by me...and others...to create a chart the way you would see it in a fake book...print it out...and then add any repeats/endings/tags etc. that you might want with a pen.

Then for practice, you can have a second "unfolded" version.

But Matt knows BIAB extremely well and if there is a way to do what you want to do, then when you provide him additional details he will tell you how to do it...if it can be done.

My bet is that I could do 100 charts modified with pen and ink as fast as anyone could learn to do the chart internally in BIAB!!! (-:

Having said all that, I would VASTLY prefer to see PG develop a way to make the software PLAY songs based on how they LOOK in a typical fakebook chart than to get one single more style let alone style set. By that I mean that we could just pick notation symbols off a list...plug them into the chart with a mouse click and the software would recognize all those normal "form guidance marks/symbols" and play the chart just like any musician would.

MAYBE we can do many of those things now but trust me on this...it ain't easy to figure out how and it COULD BE! Pick a symbol from a drop down list...click it onto the chart at the appropriate place and bingo, bango, bongo...we can have BIAB arrangements of ANY song in ANY fakebook in MINUTES.

HUGE!

Best,

Jim
