This is the song from the recording forum that Scott (aka Rockstar_not) helped me eq.

Rollin' On EQ'd

I loved writing this song using regional place names and such. It is still begging for harmonies.

Any and all suggestions welcome.

Hi Robb.

There's something about this track which really got to me, but I can't quite work out what it is. It's got a great raw, earthy sound to it and there's so much going on in the mix it made my head spin when I put the 'phones on, but yes, I've just got to go back for another listen.

Nicely done!

ROG.

Cool song.

Some tips to help it a bit.

back the vocals down a bit, they are a bit in your face loud for the mix.

Bring the drums up. Rock needs strong crisp drums.... especially the snare and kick.

Keep rocking!!!

Robb,

I like the big rig sounds in the mix. Gives it a taste of reality. To me, instead of bringing the vocals down, I would bring the drums and the bass up - then if the vocals are still too loud, bring them down. Needs some more definition in the bottom end (like many of us smile ). The arrangement is very busy, but still interesting.

Hi Robb,

Great feel! It must have taken a truckload of time to put this one together. It's packed. I too think that Steve's advice is good if you ever get back to the mix.

All the best,
Noel
