Hi,

I can't think of a way to have Band-in-a-Box ignore patches/volume saved on the thru channel, without ignoring them on the rest of the channels also (which could be done with opt.|pref|overrides). This would only be an issue with songs saved with patches and harmony by users. The songs and styles included with Band-in-a-Box are not saved with Thru patch/volume. So you would need to resave the song with patch 0 or 1. (or you could send the patch change from your keyboard before you start playing it, but you would have to do this each time you press play)

One way you could quickly set the patch, would be to change the instrument for the thru track to #1 then use the keystrokes Alt+F2 P <enter> <enter> Y

Edit: Actually there is in fact a way you could do this.
1. Open up the VSC-DXi panel by clicking on the DXi Synth button in the toolbar.
2. Click the Setup button, click the Receive Events tab.
3. Uncheck the two checkboxes underneath channel 5 (this is the default thru channel in BB): PC/Bank and Volume.
4. Press OK and close the VSC.

BB will still be sending the patch changes, but the VSC won't hear them.
