First of all, hats off to the guy who made that video!

I won't say I'm a quant geek, as this field of theory was just becoming part of the physics curriculum at the school where I did my undergrad degree, and even then it was only subparticle theory stuff, no string theory stuff that I recall.

I loved the names of the subparticles, however. They sounded 'like the future', as if they came from an episode of the Jetsons.

About 10 years ago, my brother-in-law started a writing club and brought a book to the club called "The Mysteries of Harris Burdick", which was pretty much pictures only. You can peruse the pages on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/0395353939/ref=rdr_ext_tmb

We each had to choose a picture and then write a very short story about it, and I chose the 'Archie Smith: Boy Wonder' picture.

Here's my story that I wrote - the subparticle theory stuff ties in my story in just nomenclature only. http://rockstarnot.rekkerd.org/writing/Boy%20Wonder.html

Anyways, thanks for the link, Mac.

BTW, this exercise that my brother in law had us do started me on the road to more prolific songwriting - even though this was a short story. Try looking at the pages of that book and see if you can't think up a story about each picture and then write lyrics to a song from the story in your head.
