Someone have probably asked for this command under the file menu before…
Though, I miss this option while composing and saving new ideas on different hard drives – next day, looking for my genius ideas from yesterday‚ where did it go…? ;-)

I'm not certain from your post whether you like the feature or not, but in Opt., Preferences, there is a setting called At Program Bootup. You can have BIAB load the previous song, style, or neither.
In the File menu, you will see a list of the last several files you opened.
Or am I not understanding your request?

I definitly miss this shortcut – sometimes I work through many different ideas (songs) during a couple of hours. My original songs are stored in one folder, customers songs or other composers songs in another folder or hard drive.
I'm working in a Mac-enviroment, but can't find this option in BiaB-preferences that you suggest, Mr. Finley. Anyway, thanks! Are you working on Mac or PC?

Ah - I'm using a PC and can't help with the Mac version.
Just a suggestion, it is probably a good idea to state you are using a Mac, since the large majority of us are not, and there are occasional differences. One easy way to do that is to create a Signature. Just click on My Stuff in the blue bar above, then select Edit Profile. You'll see Signature in the middle.
Another suggestion is add "Mac version" to your post title.

There are even a couple of advantages to the Mac version if I recall correctly; it's just that it's different from what most of use. And you could also run the PC version on a Mac, like Peter Gannon does, so it helps to be clear what you are using.
Thanks for the kind words about my music. I composed all the tunes in BIAB for this CD as well as songs and arrangements for CDs by other artists, but this album was recorded in 2005 before RealTracks existed. I always use BIAB for my composer's demos, so the others hit the studio or the concert already knowing what I want it to sound like.

Your music sounded like real music, not "box-music"!
BiaB is great for composing and making demos. I've only been using BiaB for the last years and really enjoy the real tracks.
When it comes to jazz, BiaB is good for practicing, but I often find myself playing or programming the instruments while I'm recording my own compositions.
Though, the real tracks are getting better and better – I've used drum and bass from the pop/rock/country-styles on different productions already :-)
