I have the same problem using the latest version of Real Band. I use channel one to transmit patch change to my keyboard (Alesis QS7) and use a softsytn to play the midi tracks. Often, Real Band (same with Power Tracks) will crash when selecting play. After numerous attempts, Real Band will work fine with MIDI until I close and restart Real Band. This is a frustrating problem as I perform live using this configuration. I've tested using all kinds of MIDI files with the same results (with no SYSEX). Sometimes using Jukebox will play the MIDI files okay that crash the program when using the normal play button. The same MIDI files play fine with Cakewalk, Sonar and other MIDI programs I use without crashing the programs. Also happens on other computers; I've uninstalled and installed on some of my other computers with the same problem. This problem has been happening with previous versions as well. Hopefully, the Real Band programmers can fix the program so it doesn't crash when it experiences something in MIDI it doesn't like. I use 64 bit Win7 Dell Studio (i7).
