That must be frustrating.

Standard advice applies first: reboot (which you did), defrag (unless using an SSD) and Opt., Return to Factory Settings. Note that reinstalling would also accomplish Return to Factory Settings, but you may not have to go to so much trouble.

I recall having effects like that when I tested BIAB on an underpowered computer. Version 2013 does seem to take more horsepower. Can you describe your computer, and run Geekbench and report your score?

If RealTracks are involved, there are a few checkboxes in the Preferences, RealTracks that make things work better on 'slower' computers (if that's what you have). I have a Core 2 Duo which should be enough power, but I found it helped me to use those checkboxes.
