First, as to triplets, look at the excellent FAQ entry here: http://www.pgmusic.com/techfaq29.htm#25 You can make a change from straight feel to triplet feel, either globally or measure by measure.

Second, BIAB does not support a time signature of 6/8 so however you decide to make it work, it will be something of a contrivance to look at, but you may be able to get the sound to work fine. There are some PG Music styles for 6/8 and that would be a good place to start. Look for the different feels possible, since 6/8 can have pulses in different places.

I recommend holding off on that thread about calculating tempo values until you have explored the ideas I gave above.
