Sam is using a US-122. The US-224 is an entirely different beast; control surface etc.

I would be very surprised if it used the same drivers and if '64 bit isn't the problem'.

Duh. My sole purpose in commenting was to observe that I have a TASCAM device that worked in XP and is now running on a stable 64-bit Vista system. Maybe I said too much. I had to buy a new interface for my Windows 7 DAW because I couldn't find drivers that worked for the US-224.

I have had great experience with pre-PC TASCAM hardware in the past, but all points are taken regarding any of their more recent products involving software. I now use a Presonus AudioBox USB (which I recommend to Sam, if he's still reading. It's small, rugged, stable, and relatively inexpensive).
