I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of amazing feats of rhyming in musical lyrics. My all time favorites are the problems of rhyming something with the words "tragedy" and "handsome."
Here's how it's done in
Put on a Happy Face:
Take off the gloomy mask of tragedy, it's not your style
You'll look so good that you'll be.........................glad ya' de-cided to smile!And here's how it's done in
Someone to Watch Over MeAlthough he may not be the man some girls think of as..................................handsome to my heart he carries the key
How 'bout that? I consider Dani's rhyme, below, to be right up there.
So I´m alone, at least I thought so
but that´s not really true, you know, though,
Damn, that's good.
In its entirety,
My Dearest is a masterpiece.
