well the process you are describing would work in theory BUT you'd have a User Track that is more then one instrument. I'd be willing to bet it would sound awfully weird played over some different chord progression.
Some of the confusion I think is due to the fact that the terms
1. RTs
2. User Tracks
3. Style
are being used interchangeably.
