You likely dragged the mouse on the track while clicking.
Clicking n another area will deselect.
You can also right-click and choose 'Select Whole Track' if you want to generate a whole track.
What's really cool about the From-Thru is you can generate just a section you want played (or regenerate an existing section) in RB by selecting it this way. So if you have a decent track, but want to change one part, you can highlight it and generate just that part .. over and over.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
