First omnisynth IS GM, and there is an old thread here somewhere about how to use it, but there is a supplied "script" with it that you use first , load up a drum kit on channel/slot 10 before hitting play on BIAB and off you go

As far as the other sound addon "re-tanks" yep just load up a sound (bass a, piano c, trumpet k, etc.) On whatever channel you want from any lib you want and you can mix/match between and among libs

Edit add: If you read the WHOLE thread above, you'll see where I mention that the DXi caused issues for me but VSTi didn't. Well nothing has changed at least FOR me: DXi STILL causing issues, so I only run SampleTank VSTi.
