jt3,

I'm wondering about you saying you "imported". All you need to do in Realband is click on file then click open and choose your BIAB file - the midi and realtracks should line up fine.

You can manually move the tracks that are out of sync but you shouldn't have to do that unless you've changed something like deleted the count in bars, and RB will ask you what bar you want it to start on when you "import" a track.

Hope that helps you.

thanks for your response I went to see what I did I hit open and that's what I meant by importing. the midi or the realtracks starts a spilt second before. I tried moving a track to get it to line up that made it worse. I even started in realband new and the midi and the realtracks still off

Which one starts a split second before?

You need to provide clear information for the problem.
If you used Open say open, if the MIDI is ahead of the Audio specify,
If you started new in RB, and things are still off, I'd say try running Preferences-Audio-SoftSynth latency adjust button

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

thanks for your response. okay not real good at texting to explain what I thinking. I have been keeping my biab songs on the desktop. this way I can find them easy. with biab everything works great. midi and realtracks work seamlessly together. now when in realband I opened a song from my biab songs from my desktop. the midi and the realtracks are off just a little. okay so I tried so I tried starting in realband entering chords with a style with midi and realtracks. I get the same thing. this morning I tried to record to make a users track on play back got the same thing just a little off. You mentioned to change to soft lac. is there a way to do this in realband? my interface for recording is a Roland tri-capture 24bit 96 kHz audio interface. my main goal is to make user tracks I have songs needing some special parts mainly so I can play
another part live.
thanks does anyone have a idea or run into this problem and found a solution?

Options - Preferences-Audio-SoftSynth latency adjust button

Or hit Prefs and go to audio tab. Same button I described above..

Yep... sounds like a latency issue. You have a mix of wave tracks (audio) and synth tracks (midi) at times when you move to Real Band from BiaB. On my lappy, I have this same issue IF the RB tracks include one or more midi tracks. Many RB styles are converted to 100% audio tracks and that latency will NOT be an issue on those.

The midi tracks take longer to process and get to the speakers, and the result is you hear them a number of milliseconds after the corresponding audio track.

Check the latency settings and adjust them. Another solution is a dedicated audio/midi interface which many folks, including myself, use. The interface uses ASIO drivers and latency is a non-issue.

The driver being used on the factory card can also make a difference in the latency. Try adjusting settings first before switching drivers.
