Hi I recently purchased Ketron SD2 and Roland UM-One midi interface.

It is hooked up OK, melody plays through SD2, but except for the melody channel, all other sounds (Real Tracks) come through the PC audio - Unless someone advises otherwise, this is what I expected.

UM-ONE appears in the Midi output Driver list, and I have set Midi output to UM-ONE

Should I unchecked use VST/DXi checkbox? I suspect it should be unchecked.

I have tried many configurations, and searched FAQ's but was looking for a definitive guide on the correct way to install, configure and allow BIAB to select appropriate patches for the SD2.

Is there a guideline available on the steps to follow to make BiaB use the Ketron as the required sound device for these midi devices?

Thanks
Video Track

VST/DXi checkbox unchecked, correct.

Go to Support on this site, Patch Maps, and download the patch map for the Ketron.

In BIAB, you load the patch map and select patches. I'm not at a computer now to say how this is done in BIAB 2014.

The Ketron SD2 is a midi device. Real tracks are audio files-not midi. Matt is correct about using the SD2 patch map, but those patches are midi not audio. I'm using a sound module, UA-4fx, to run my midi and audio.

Try just using a midi track and you will see the blue light on the sd2 blinking when midi is playing. You won't see it when audio real tracks are playing.

So now run the audio from the soundcard and the audio from the SD2 into 2 separate channels of a mixer and you'll have.

Thanks Shastastan for your follow up. Yes, I understand that the patches are for the midi device. I think I've got it set correctly, was missing the patch map for the SD2.

Hi John, yep, that's my setup. I've got audio from sound-card to the mixer and audio from SD2 to mixer, (and audio from Ivory on separate computer to mixer). Seems to be OK.
Thanks everyone for your assistance.
