One thing I overlooked is the fact that the Ozone/Nectar bundle is on sale right NOW for $399 through the end of the year. Regular price is $549. Sly is saving a bill and a half and he's taking a leap that even if he doesn't really understand all this right now he probably will in a few months but by then the price is back up to $549.

Looking at it this way, it's not a bad idea.

I'm one of those guys who likes to know how and why things work so I agree with the idea of learning how to chain the different PG plugs to create basically the same thing as the Ozone bundle. BUT, I can also see that's not for everybody and hitting a preset and liking the result is ok.

Sly can always upgrade to a better mic if he starts being unhappy with his vocals.
