My question is this. I want to use Nectar 2 the Vocal Production Suite Plugin that comes with that deal not only for my recording studio but I also would like to try and use it to sing live with online. I do shows in Second Life and it would be niec to use those effects. I just wrote iZotope and they gave me the paragraph below so it is possible that I can do this. Something about Tracking Mode. I don't know what streaming tool hosts plugins. Let me know if you know of any. Or they say something about sending the output of my DAW to my streaming tool. I didn't know a DAW had an output. Anyone know about this? Where is this output located? Tell me if there is any DAW that I should buy so I can utilize it best in this situation to stream live as the iZotope statement says below.
Nectar 2 includes a feature called 'Tracking mode', which uses less CPU-intensive and low-latency processing, which you could use during a live performance. However, as Nectar 2 needs a DAW in order to be used, your streaming tool would need to be able to host Nectar as a VST plug-in. Another option would be to send the output of your DAW as an audio input to your streaming tool. That said, I unfortunately cannot further assist in configuring Nectar 2 for this setup.

You already have a DAW - It's called RealBand. It should do most things that you might initially need.

Oh well let me know how to utilize an effects plugin to route it to a streaming tool. Read that paragraph I have on my other post that iZotope wrote me. Have you ever used a plugin's effects for Live singing? If you have let me know. Because I would love to sing live with some of these effects. And many of the presets are great for radio shows also.

The output of a DAW is usually the device's sound system. In the case of Real Band it would normally be the computer sound system, via whichever sound drivers are selected, or perhaps other output to a mixer (e.g. USB) for further processing.

Thanks Video Track for the quick replies. Well when I am in RealBand and I open up Nectar 2 my Vocal effects plugin you don't see the plugin doing anything until after you play back your vocal track you recorded. Then then it works. It isn't doing anything when I am singing it live. I would like it to have the voice waves move while I am singing. Maybe it would under what they call Tracking Mode? Then it would be on as I sing?

Hi Sly You probably have to mix the microphone first through Nectar. Someone else will chip in I'm sure. Also, there is a dedicated Forum for Real Band. You may get better advice from the RB experts from there.
